nclB's home ownership program

house to home

OVERVIEW

NCLB's House to Home program was launched in 2017 to market fully renovated properties to Newburgh residents who are first time home-buyers. So far we have sold homes on Farrington, Lander & Johnston Street, all to BIPOC, first time home buyers, who are residents of the City of Newburgh. Most recently we sold 115 and 150 Lander St in 2023.

We are currently completing renovations on 4 more properties at 59, 63 and 136 Lander and 39 S. Miller. They are all 2 and 3 family homes. We are co-developing these properties with our General Contractor, Carlos Carbonero, who purchased and renovated 121 Lander and also renovated 115 and 150 Lander for us. As with the previous ones, the properties will be beautifully renovated in collaboration with local architect Jeff Wilkinson to historic district standards. They are being sold below market rate and offer 1 or 2 rental units to help the owner occupants cover costs.

If you or someone you know is interested, you can contact Eileen Clifford at Pathstone --eclifford@pathstone.org --to start the home buyer classes required to prequalify for a low interest SONYMA mortgage with local lenders and find out about other grants that might reduce your purchase price and closing costs. We will start pre-screening candidates in the coming months. Sign up for notifications below.
